As I walked down the path to the valley
Below, I noticed a peculiar little man
Crouching under and old oak tree, apparently
Digging for gold.
Eventually he noticed me and
Furtively hid something behind his back.
Good evening, I said pleasantly
He said nothing but fidgeted, scuffed his foot and avoided my eyes
I moved on
Jiggling my head in tune to unheard music. Suddenly
Kaws pierced the air followed by a
Lurking feeling of worry- I hurried back.
Mister treasure-hunting gnome was being attacked by an eagle.
Ninny! Cant you see I need help?! he shrieked.
Out of the woods a bear roared and
Petrified I froze. I watched as though through a
Queer fog as the little man was little and dropped, dashed upon a tree.
Raking gasps echoed behind me as I found the courage to flee, making me stop and turn
Snow white fur fell from the morphing body of the bear
True form revealed
Underneath the trees my heart leapt
Verily to his, the heart of the bear prince
Waited patiently for the curse to be lifted by a fair maiden.
eXcitement rang through the kingom at the return and marriage of the prince
Yarrow hanging on the altar and blooming ardently for love
Zealous roses grow, guarding from future sorrows.
