In which senior year commences...

...and I lose my remaining sanity.

It's only the third week, and I've already got more homework than I have time for (currently I'm taking 6 300 level courses, all but one of which is reading heavy). And I've already made the decision to drop a class for the first time in my life. But, it's a boring one and I can always take another psych course over a winter semester. I am on track to graduate in May (there was some concern over that, which is why I have to take 6 classes this semester).
I'm also trying to get all of my stuff together to start applying for Grad school and practicing for the GRE.

In other words I'm this close to banging my head against a wall.

I did buy a new bunny! She's so cute! :) She's black and white and her name is Maple.

Wheeeee!

I'm back from the wedding (which considering a lot went not as it was supposed to, went wonderfully and I loved it and was grinning like an idiot the whole day) and the honeymoon (during which all of our pets somehow got out of their enclosures and managed to eat between the 3 of them (2 degus and one bunny) all but one of the computer cords, 2 lamps, one window fan, one hand held vacuum, a cord for the DVD player and one for my gamecube). Fun times!

Anywho, I'm back on, and hopefully, since I'm feeling a writing/art bug biting at me, I'll have more to post. Especially since I just got my first tablet- a wacom Bamboo! I'm so excited, and it can easily amuse me for hours as I try to use it, lol :giggle:

So to start this off, I've been tagged by :iconluvbugbub03: to offer 10 free sketches. I can't see anyone wanting them really, but if you do, let me know. I think since 'sketch' could mean a lot of things, I'll offer 2 options- you can get a drawn sketch of a char, or if you have a drawing and the character needs a background story, you can send me a link to a picture of said character, with a bit of information about them, and I'll write up some kind of background/character bio for you! :D

I finished off the school year, and I'm assuming I got an a on that fanfic assignment from my last journal, which is awesome, because that prof rarely gives out a's, and in both classes I had with him, I got a's! :w00t: Next year is my last year of undergrad, and then I have to figure out my grad school degree- to go for teaching....or creative writing...or publishing...too many fricking choices and not enough time to decide!

There's about 2 weeks left until my wedding, and my sewing machine decide to break while I was sewing my fiance's shirt and before I had the chance to remake my dress. :angered: Long story short- I ordered a dress...the sewing quality isn't too good and I feel silly in it...so I'm making a dress much more like my original idea out of some blue fabric I'd ordered for my fiance's shirt, but the colour wasn't the right one. So, yeah, with 2 weeks left, I'm still sewing away. Luckily I've been barely getting hours at work, like I've only worked weekends since I got back. So, I've got plenty of spare time on my hands Anyway, my bridal shower was today, and I quite enjoyed it! :D

MAC got a complete makeover, and I'm now much happier with it than I was with the original version. I had to take out some of the jokes, but there'll always be more! At least now people can tell the characters apart and I solved the triplet twin issue. Of course, you have no idea what I'm talking about, but some day, you may if I ever post it here. I'm not sure that I will, but I'll probably post snippets now and then as I work on it. It's much easier going and when I go through it I get the warm fuzzies of success :D :deviation:

Anywho, just figured I'd update this thing.

Fanfic as an assignment- I has it

Yes, that is some lovely lol speech for a good reason. In one of my classes, I have a series of interim reports to do on the topic of "myth" and how it relates to the books, the world around us, etc...and I'm making it a series of odd, possibly awkward fanfics and mimicry of the books. First one up- a short story in the style of HP Lovecraft, also on the agenda and my new big burst of inspiration that hopefully kick my ass back into writing and out of a massive writer's block- you got it, Labyrinth!! Yes, I am going to turn in a Labyrinth fan-fiction as an assignment in a non-creative writing class. I just started it (literally two minutes before deciding to update my journal) so nothing to post yet, but I'm going to enjoy it immensely! I just felt the need to share. :evillaugh: :D I'm not quite sure what I'll do for the other ones- I'm thinking a short story on a plane of music in the style of Changing Planes by Ursula K. LeGuin, but I'm not sure yet what else I'll do.
Yay! A writing assignment I'm looking slightly forward to!
